The article provides information about nival-volcanogenic, possibly glacial-volcanogenic, mudflows (lahars) on three streams the south side of Atlasov Island (Kuril Islands, Russia). island is an active stratovolcano Alaid, 2339 m asl high. effusive-explosive eruption Alaid volcano began September 10, 2022 and continues to present day. Strombolian activity apical cone lava outflow observed. Lava filled summit caldera by 27. flow then crossed southern part crest descend down erosional depression at tops catchments unnamed streams. Photography satellite images showed presence mudflow transformation stream beds slopes, fan mouths Analysis meteorological volcanological data that formation lahars was caused rapid melting snow/ice under influence it occurred between 29 October 2.

Mitochondrial tRNA(Leu) and ND1 data confirm the species identification of the Kunashir specimens. This is the first record of the genus Orobdella from the Kuril Islands.
